San Antonio

My husband and I spent an some time over in San Antonio this past weekend. I love San Antonio during the month of December. Even with pictures I can't describe how beautiful and festive the River Walk is during the holidays. I enjoy it so much and considering that we are about to move we wanted to take the boat ride around the waterways for one last tour.

This is the same stage that you saw Sandra Bullock in the movie Miss Congeniality. To tell you the truth I've never stopped to take in a show. Out of all these years living in Texas and visiting the River Walk I never did. I've glanced here and there as I was passing by but one day I'll have to do that.

I just adore all these historic buildings in the downtown area. San Antonio is rich in history.

The guards are singing in Spanish in their traditional uniforms. It really sets the mood while crossing the courtyard.

The second night we drove north of the city to the Hill Country. We stayed a fabulous resort. The name JW Marriott San Antonio http://www.jwsanantonio.com/

This is the view from our balcony looking over the Hill Country. They had a fantastic golf course, spa, restaurants, etc. However, we were so busy with a conference that we didn't have much time to take advantage of all the amenities. If you are looking for a quick getaway I highly recommend this resort.
